The Farmer's Daughter

The displayed project was part of an interior design collab where 2nd and 3rd-year students worked in teams with real clients to develop designs to present to the clients. This particular project pertained to the design of a coffee shop/restaurant in Malawi. The client wanted a vintage rustic/industrial interior style.

Mindful considerations were necessary regarding the destination of the coffee shop/restaurant which is Malawi. Aspects such as materials, resources and other elements needed to be kept in mind. Materials acceptable and resourceful to malawi included limetone, black granite and cane. The design commenced by going through many initial concepts in terms of spatial layouts and developments to arrive at the plan/general layout showcased in the design.
